Wedding Day Details

As a fine art wedding photographer, I have learned that the details of your wedding day are just as important as the larger moments. The detail photos are not just filler images, but they tell the story of the wedding day and capture the unique personality and style of the couple. As a result, taking care of the details is an essential part of your wedding planning, and I recommend that couples should prioritize their details just as much as the larger parts of their wedding day.

Here are some essential details that I believe should be included in your wedding day detail shots:

  • Rings: Engagement rings, wedding bands, and any heirloom rings that are meaningful to you.

  • Jewelry: Necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and any other pieces that you will be wearing on your wedding day.

  • Invitation Suite: This includes the invitation, RSVP card, envelopes, and any other paper goods that were sent to guests.

  • Shoes: Whether you're wearing flats or heels your shoes can add a unique element to your detail photos.

  • Perfume: The scent you choose can become a part of your wedding day memories. Including your perfume in your detail shots can add a sensory element to your photos.

  • Bouquet: Your bouquet is an essential part of your wedding day look, and it can add a pop of color and texture to your detail photos.

  • Loose Florals: Including loose florals in your detail photos can add depth and texture. Make sure to ask your florist to set aside some loose cuttings from your florals.

In addition to these you can also include other stylized items like stamps that represent your nationality or favourite flower (etsy is an amazing spot to find beautiful vintage stamps). I also loved including this coffee table book that the Bride took inspiration from while planning.
